1 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour
1 stick of butter cut into pieces
pinch of salt
3 tablespoons of ice water
1 jar of mincemeat
Instructions: Combine the flour, salt & butter. Blend until the mixture resembles fine crumbs : this can be done in a food processor. Add water one tablespoonful at a time until the mixture holds together in a ball. Cut in half and put in the fridge for one hour. Roll out the pastry. Cut into 3 inch rounds and make approx. 20 tops and bottoms. Fill half full with mincemeat. Moisten edge of lower part and press the top and bottom edges together. Make holes in the top with the tines of a fork. Glaze with milk or egg.
Cooking: Bake at 425°F for 20 minutes.
