This technique makes a very smooth coffee with the bitterness removed.
Instructions: Beat the egg lightly and mix part of it with the amount of coffee grinds you would normally use to make a very stiff, almost dry, paste. Boil the water for the coffee, add the paste to it, bring back to the boil and then remove from the heat. "Sprinkle" a small amount of cold water to the coffee to cause the grinds to sink to the bottom (or use a French press like the one above) and it's ready to drink.
